The Reliance Fire Museum was formed in 1996. We are a tax exempt
Missouri 501(c)(3) educational corporation.
The museum's mission is to restore and preserve the firefighting history
of America. We do this through the restoration and preservation of fire apparatus and equipment. The equipment
is used to educate the public through activities such as fire prevention week, fire musters, parades, and tours of the museum.

1937 Seagrave from Detroit, Michigan. 8 of these wood framed, aluminum body rigs were built for Detroit during
1936 and 1937. They sported 1000 gpm pumps and the big Seagrave 906 cubic inch V-12. All equipment was stored
inside the body including ladders and hard suction hose. In 1938, Seagrave changed to an all steel body. This
is believed to be the only remaining wood bodied rig in driveable condition.
